Sonder Books is all about connecting authors and readers. In time, we will do this in a number of ways, but as we are only just starting out, we will be focussing on what we call our "Community Collections" - these will be books of short stories, essays, discussion and more, designed to showcase writers and to entertain readers, with 10% of the profits going to an appropriate charity. We are looking for writers and authors to contribute to the projects below, regardless of experience. If you are a seasoned scribe or an enthusiastic novice, we'd love to hear from you. We don't charge - ever. There's no catch, so pick a project, and get writing! You can contribute to as many projects as you like.
The Beach Hut
Now on sale - our first Community Collection is a mixed-genre anthology of short stories inspired by the Great British Beach Hut, with a percentage of proceeds going to the charity Seaful.

"It's Complicated..."
Into 2026...​​​​
We are currently finalising the schedule for 2026 and will announce 12 months of planned titles this side of Christmas, so this will give writers plenty of chance to plan their contributions, and the deadlines will be easier to work with! In addition to twelve short story collections we will be launching non-fiction projects, an "authors area" on the website where you will be able to buy discounted copies of the books and access free resources and more.
